Nature & Forest Therapy
Kindred Idaho offers guided nature and forest therapy sessions for groups and individuals, primarily near Boise, Idaho and Cascade, Idaho. Forest therapy, sometimes called forest bathing is a practice that supports physical & mental health and wellness through guided immersion in nature.
A forest therapy session includes an intentional sequence of sensory invitations to help slow down and connect with yourself and nature in a meaningful way. A typical forest therapy session is leisurely, accessible, and open to a range of ages and physical conditions.
Who am I?
Amber, founder of Kindred Idaho, is a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy. In addition to her training and work as an ANFT guide, she also has a degree in Psychology and is an Advanced Master Gardener with the Ada County Master Gardener Program. She loves the way this work integrates her passion for mental and physical well-being and her deep love of the natural world!
She is passionate about inviting and holding space for people to encounter the beauty, mystery, and healing power of nature in a safe, accessible, and warm-hearted environment.
“Forest bathing opens the doors of our senses and fully engages us with the healing power of nature. The methods of forest bathing bring our bodies and minds into a relaxed and quiet state, where we are fully aware of where we are and what we are experiencing in the present moment. A simple motto- The forest is the healer, the practice opens the door- is a reliable guide.”
-Amos Clifford, Your Guide to Forest Bathing
“We all know how good being in nature can make us feel. We have known it for millennia. The sounds of the forest. the scent of the trees, the sunlight playing through the leaves, the fresh, clean air- these things give us a sense of comfort. They ease our stress and worry, help us to relax and to think more clearly. Being in nature can restore our mood, give us back our energy and vitality, refresh and rejuvenate us.”
-Dr. Qing Li, Forest Bathing

“I had the honor to be invited to attend a session this morning. Time to be calm, feel all of my senses, and breathe. I think this is the first time this year that I stopped to pay attention to what my skin was feeling. A wonderful reset that was needed. The science and health benefits behind this practice are phenomenal.
Thank you, Amber, for leading a session, for the invite, and for being a beautiful human.”
